Tendencies That Limit Us and Identifying Resources

Our life can begin to change when we

  1. Begin to understand beliefs that limit us
  2. Intentionally identify the resources we already have
  3. Analyze our resources

Let’s look at these a bit a more detail.

Tendencies that limit us

Here are a few examples of tendencies we might have, that can inhibit our change process:

a) We tend to focus on what we don’t have instead of on what we do have. This greatly limits the potential for positive change in our lives.

b) We tend to think first of physical or financial resources instead of all other resource types.

c) We tend to forget about the importance of relationships.

Identifying Resources

We start by identifying some general categories for resources (e.g. physical, financial, etc.). Then we list all the resources we can think of (that we already have), in each of the categories. Finally, we take some time to review the entire list. What do we notice?
